Medical AssistantAnnapolis, MDMUST:Experienced Medical AssistantMust be certified or registered as a Medical AssistantMust have EMR experienceVenipuncture / Phlebotomy skills is preferredDUTIES:Medical Assistant will be responsible for the following:Report to clinical coordinator or practice administratorPerform nursing procedures under supervision of physician or physician assistantAssist physician and physician assistant in exam roomsEscort patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patients chartGive instructions to patients as instructed by physician or physician assistantEnsure all related reports, labs and information is filed is available in patient's medical records prior to their appointmentKeep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, and prepare sterilization as requiredTake telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy callsTriage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and physician assistantsMaintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.)All other duties as assigned by clinical coordinator or practice administratorQuadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
