Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- A master's degree in behavior analysis, psychology or a closely related field
- Certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a BCBA
OVERVIEW OF JOB DESCRIPTION: To promote ethical and effective behavior interventions and the student's participation in everyday routines and activities that are a part of his or her program.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow local, state, and federal law and adhere to Public Education Department and Local School Board Policy.
- Maintain confidentiality of student information.
- Perform appropriate evaluations of children referred for challenging behaviors.
- Assist in the development of Individualized Education Programs to meet individual student's needs
- Provide individual and/or group therapy to students.
- Serve as a resource to school staff members in the area of Applied Behavior Analysis and behavioral supports.
- Follow all Technical Evaluation and Assessment Manual (TEAM) guidelines and
- Perform other relevant tasks as assigned.
REPORTS TO: Principal and Special Services Administrators
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Work year will be in accordance with current schedule for 191-day employee. Work day is an eight-hour day. Salary to be determined by individual training and experience level on current Certified Support Staff Salary Schedule.
EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board of Education's policy on evaluation of certified personnel.
