1st Shift Maintenance Technician
We are looking for a 1st Shift Maintenance Technician to join our team at Special Service Partners, a printing company located in Neenah, WI.
In this role, you'll help keep our production equipment running efficiently by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and maintaining our building and grounds. You'll work independently in a well-equipped maintenance shop under the direction of our Manufacturing Manager while supporting a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Position Details
- Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Location: Neenah, WI
- Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs on production equipment, building, and grounds
- Lubricate equipment at the start of each shift as needed
- Prioritize and complete daily maintenance work orders
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment
- Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on production machinery and printing presses
- Assist with maintenance projects and equipment installations
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the maintenance shop and tools
- Obtain estimates for supplies, parts, and outside repairs as needed
- Assist in the maintenance of numbering machines
- Operate a forklift when necessary
- Perform basic welding and fabrication tasks
- Safely work with variable-speed machinery, including rolling and cutting equipment
- Work independently while collaborating with production and leadership to minimize downtime
- Follow all company safety policies and maintain a safe work environment
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment independently
- Experience using electrical test instruments and machinist measuring tools
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- General knowledge of preventative maintenance practices
- Basic computer skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic math skills, including fractions, numbering sequences, and reading a ruler
- Ability to distinguish colors and demonstrate good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to lift up to 65 pounds
- Experience operating a lathe, end mill, surface grinder, and welder is preferred
- Forklift experience is a plus
