At Special School District (SSD), we offer a comprehensive Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program through Applied Tech, our adult education initiative that prepares students for rewarding careers in healthcare.
As an LPN Instructor with Special School District's (SSD) Applied Tech program, you will guide adult students through their 12-month practical nursing program, helping them develop the knowledge, clinical skills, and confidence needed to pass the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) and succeed in today's healthcare settings. Through classroom instruction, simulation, and supervised clinical experiences, you will prepare future nurses to provide safe, compassionate care while building the professional skills employers value.
Your expertise, encouragement, and commitment to student success will shape the learning experience in meaningful ways. By creating engaging lessons, mentoring students, and providing consistent support, you will play a vital role in helping each learner reach their goals and begin a rewarding career in nursing, while also helping to meet the growing demand for skilled healthcare professionals in our community.
We are currently seeking an LPN instructor for the following location(s):
South Tech, 12721 West Watson Road, Sunset Hills, MO, 63127
North Tech, 1700 Derhake, Florissant, MO, 63033
Various clinical sites in St. Louis County
Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
- Minimum of three years recent nursing experience required
- Approval by the Missouri State Board of Nursing prior to appointment required
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Current, undisciplined Missouri Registered Professional Nurse license required
Salary
- $86,452 to $104,499/year based on experience and education
