GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Program Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of Special Reach programs

that support children with developmental differences and their families. This position supports program

coordination, participant engagement, staff and volunteer logistics, and administrative systems to

ensure programs run smoothly, safely, and with care.


QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

• Minimum of 1 year of full-time relevant work experience preferred

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in Google suite and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Publisher a plus)

• Strong computer and data-entry skills

• Professional, ethical conduct and ability to work collaboratively


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain and update databases, spreadsheets, and program records.

• Coordinate follow-up and documentation with internal teams, clients, and vendors to support

program execution.

• Support registration processes for participants, staff, and volunteers, including screening, data

entry, scheduling, and parent documentation.

• Assist with program preparation, including ordering supplies, inventory management, preparing

supply bins, and event setup/breakdown.

• Attend programs and community events (including some evenings and weekends) to provide

administrative and hands-on support.

• Ensure compliance with all Special Reach policies, procedures, and program standards.

• Prepare and submit weekly status reports.

• Other duties as assigned.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to perform all required job tasks in a climate-controlled office and outdoors

exposed to changing weather conditions.

• Must be able to lift and move up to 30 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.


SALARY AND BENEFITS:

• Salary range: $40,000 – $46,000, commensurate with experience and expertise.

• Health, dental, and vision insurance.

• Retirement benefits.

• At least nine (9) paid holidays annually.

• Agency-wide year-end closure.

• Average of 96 hours of Paid Time Off (PTO) annually for vacation, personal, or sick time.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This role involves both office and some outdoor settings. Candidates must be able to perform essential duties in a climate-controlled office environment and in outdoor conditions that may vary with the weather. Salary : $40,000 - $46,000
