Cable Repairman

Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Cable Repairman to join our team. This role is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining cables and related components to ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will have mechanical aptitude, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair damaged or worn cables and wiring systems
Perform splicing, stripping, and termination of cables as needed
Test cables and connections to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
Document repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Assist with preventative maintenance and other shop or field tasks as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Previous experience in cable repair, electrical work, or a related field preferred
Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
Ability to read and interpret basic diagrams or schematics
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions
Willingness to learn and be trained
Preferred Skills
Experience with industrial or mining cables (if applicable)
Familiarity with safety standards and OSHA regulations
