POSITION DESCRIPTION
To provide transportation services for clients of Special Health Resources. Position may also be responsible for providing deliveries of supplies for agency and/or clients. Also required to provide general maintenance for vehicles. Responsible for safety of clients receiving transportation services. Responsible for seeing that maintenance, repairs, and cleanup are performed on van. Position requires good independent judgment skills and ability to work in a fast-pace environment and make adjustments on short notice.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Transport clients to and from services of the agency in the agency vans in a safe and timely manner
- Adhere to priority schedule for transportation
- Transport Mobile Unit to different sites when needed
- Document services in client file
- Obey all driving laws
- Responsible for all scheduled maintenance, needed repairs, fueling, and documentation of all of these
- Help to monitor vehicle registration and inspection
- Maintain a vehicle mileage log form
- Assist in the office when not transporting, to help with phones, client needs, etc.
- Maintains client confidentiality at all times.
- Makes appointments as needed and assists staff with scheduling/coordination.
- Serve as customer service representative with clients and others while away from the office providing transportation
- Assist as needed with the Mobile Units
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- Appropriate driving record
- Auto liability insurance
- Previous transportation experience required
