What are the responsibilities and job description for the ARD Facilitator position at Special Education Services?
PRIMARY PURPOSE / FUNCTION:
Manage a caseload of students with regard to programming needs, collaborative efforts between service providers, administration, instructional personnel, and parents/guardians, and facilitate the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) process.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate
Special Education certification preferred
ESL endorsement preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of rules and regulations governing special education
Knowledge of Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee process and Individual Education Plan (IEP) goal setting process and implementation
Knowledge of how to adapt curriculum and instruction for special needs
Ability to interpret policy, procedures and data
Ability to adjust to change in a positive manner
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
Minimum of three years teaching experience
Salary : $51,711 - $77,199
