Culver School District is seeking an Elementary Special Education ERC Teacher. This would be an ideal position for a flexible candidate with excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for instructing elementary age students. The candidate must be able to use highly effective engagement practices and differentiated instruction to reach the various needs of our learners. The candidate must be able to interact with students, parents, colleagues and community members in a positive, respectful, and responsible manner. The candidate is expected to believe in the success of every student and to inspire them to achieve that success. Fostering positive and worthwhile relationships with students is a priority.

Qualifications:

• Current Oregon Teacher License with appropriate endorsements for Special Education (not required)
  
• Knowledge of web-based IEP system
• Experience with Special Education (preferred but not required)
• Additional endorsements preferred
• Knowledge of current concepts, methods and procedures for curriculum development and implementation
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate in a positive manner
• Knowledge and implementation of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS)
• Skilled at Formative & Summative Assessment Practices that align with the CCSS
• Skilled at Differentiated Instructional Practices
• Skilled at Student Engagement Practices
• Desires to be a part of the Culver school community outside of the classroom
• Other skills in coaching, club advising, leadership, student council, etc., preferred
