TITLE: Early Childhood Coordinator
STIPEND: $2,500/year
SUMMARY: Reporting to the Director of Student Services and Special Education, the primary responsibility of the Early Childhood Coordinator (ECC) is to act as a liaison, consultant, organizer, and key team member with the schools, district, and community to coordinate early intervention services. The ECC will facilitate transitions from early intervention programs and serve as the evaluation team leader for early childhood team meetings (Initial and reevaluation, placement). The ECC will also collaborate with caregivers, school staff, and outside and community agencies to promote positive student outcomes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Provide leadership and coordination of early childhood services
•Facilitate transitions from early intervention programs
•Serve as the Evaluation Team Leader for early childhood meetings for EI and PreK
•Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations and timelines
•Complete student observations
•Act as a liaison and resource to caregivers of students that fall under the umbrella of Early Childhood
•Collaborate with the Director of Student Services and Special Education to support staff and programs
•Assist the Director of Student Services and Special Education in oversight of pertinent grants and data reporting
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience
•Candidates must have a Master's degree in administration, counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field
•Experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams
•Experience in working with agencies that provide educational/therapeutic interventions to children and families
•Experience in working with school personnel and/or in school settings
•Experience with creating and positively supporting/maintaining systems change
•Computer experience and basic computer fluency
•An ability to work independently and in cooperation with others
•Strong organizational skills
•Strong oral and written communication skills
•Strong interpersonal skills in working with diverse populations
•An energetic and positive approach to the rapidly evolving changes and challenges of a complex workplace.
