Special Education Teacher (SEIT) (Birth–Grade 2)
$85/hour | Full-Time & Part-Time | Flexible Schedule
Special Education Associates is looking for compassionate, dedicated Special Education Itinerant Teachers (SEIT) to provide services to preschool-aged children (CPSE) with autism, speech delays, and other developmental disabilities throughout New York City and in the 10458 area. Responsibilities
- Provide individualized SEIT services to preschool-aged children in school, daycare, or home settings
- Develop and implement IEP goals tailored to each child's unique needs
- Foster communication, social, emotional, behavioral, and academic development
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, therapists, and other service providers
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Create engaging, positive learning experiences that help children reach their full potential
Qualifications
- New York State Special Education Teacher Certification (Birth–Grade 2, All Grades, or Permanent Special Education Certification)
- At least one year of experience working with preschool-aged children (CPSE)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Compassionate, patient, organized, and dependable
Please Note: Candidates currently employed by the NYC Department of Education are not eligible. Former DOE employees must have a minimum one-year separation before providing SEIT services.
