Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ObGyn Ultrasonographer to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will perform advanced obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound examinations, providing critical imaging that supports accurate diagnosis and patient care. Your expertise will help guide clinical decisions, monitor fetal development, and assess gynecological health, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound scans, including routine prenatal assessments, fetal growth monitoring, and gynecological evaluations.
  • Operate and maintain advanced imaging equipment such as 3D/4D ultrasound machines, MRI, CT, PET scans, DEXA scans, mammography units, X-ray systems, nuclear medicine devices, and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic.
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to accurately interpret ultrasound findings.
  • Ensure strict adherence to aseptic techniques during procedures to maintain patient safety and infection control.
  • Collaborate with physicians and radiologists to review images, discuss findings, and assist in diagnostic radiology processes.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of procedures in EMR systems, including image storage and report generation.
  • Assist with patient preparation by explaining procedures clearly and ensuring comfort throughout the imaging process.
  • Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technologies such as MRI, nuclear medicine, and other diagnostic tools to enhance diagnostic accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in hospital or clinical settings performing obstetric and gynecologic ultrasounds.
  • Proficiency with sonography equipment along with familiarity with MRI, CT scans, PET scans, DEXA scans, mammography, X-ray systems, nuclear medicine procedures, and EMR systems like Epic.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology principles.
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during procedures.
  • Ability to interpret complex images from ultrasound as well as other imaging modalities such as MRI or nuclear medicine scans.
  • Excellent communication skills for explaining procedures to patients and collaborating with healthcare teams.
  • Certification or licensure as required by local health authorities for ultrasonographers or radiologic technologists is preferred.
  • Hospital experience is highly desirable to ensure familiarity with clinical workflows and patient care standards.
