What You’ll Do:

• Perform patient sitting for patients requiring 1:1 after successful completion of required learning activities
• Prepare rooms for patient arrivals, ensuring all necessary equipment is replenished
• Greet patients upon arrival, ensuring call bell, bed alarm, side rails and white board are completed as appropriate
• Assist with hourly rounding and room safety checks
• Deliver meal trays and set up patients to eat
• Assist with lifting and positioning of patients
• Answer call lights and direct patient needs to the appropriate resource
• Stock departments as needed
• Engage patients in activities such as playing cards, puzzles, ambulation, etc.
• Other indirect patient care duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated independent judgment in times of need, along with the ability to seek guidance and/or support from appropriate resources
• Computer literacy
• Ability to write clearly and concisely
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred:

• Previous experience in a hospital setting serving the same age/type of patient population
