What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service and Sales Representative position at Speakeasy Liquors?
Summary of Position: Responsible for sales work in a liquor store. Duties include but are not limited to: operating cash register, customer service, stocking liquor store coolers and shelves, lifting and carrying beer kegs and cases merchandise, and general cleaning of store. This position reports to the liquor store manager and may take day-to-day direction from the on-duty shift leader.
Role and Responsibilities: Rings up retail sales, receives payments and gives change. Check identification to to determine eligibility to purchase liquor or tobacco,. Waits on customers: finding items on the shelves, recommending and selling merchandise, stocks beer coolers and sets up displays. Stocking shelves involves carrying cases of beer, liquor and wine. Performs general cleaning maintenance at the liquor store, including but not limited to: setting up and dismantling displays; dusting shelves, displays, counters, and merchandise; vacuuming and sweeping floors; removing trash from store; cleaning store and cooler windows; washing shelves and bottles; and cleaning restrooms. Performs such other duties as are consistent with the tasks of the position.
Qualifications and Education Requirements: High School graduation or equivalent. Prefer experience with cash register operation and retail sales. Basic knowledge of retail sales and money handling. Strong mathematical aptitude and ability to work with numbers. Ability to meet and deal with the public on a regular basis. Demonstrates excellent communication skills. Demonstrates excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Must be 21 years of age. Physical strength to frequently lift cases of merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to take merchandise to customer vehicle if/when needed. Able to stand or walk for long periods of time. Requires frequent bending, twisting, and stooping.
