Key Responsibilities of the Role:

Shape Your Legacy: Build and lead a team of passionate cannabis professionals, fostering a

community.

Drive Financial Performance: Take full ownership of the store's financial success, exceeding

sales targets, managing budgets, and optimizing profitability. Your strategic vision and business

Inventory Management & Procurement: Own all aspects of inventory management, from

purchasing and receiving to stocking and maintaining optimal stock levels. Analyze sales data to

forecast demand, identify trends, and make strategic purchasing decisions that maximize

profitability and minimize costs.

Job Requirements

Eligibility

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country in which the store is located.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must have the ability to travel to the assigned store with own transportation methods.
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Background in customer service and retail sales
  • Cannabis retail experience is a plus but not required

Other Willingness Requirements

  • Willing to work in an environment with bright lights and loud music
  • Willing to move through a store for most of a shift to help customers and accomplish

work

  • Willing to move boxes weighing up to 30 lbs (13.6 kg)
  • Willing to work as part of a team and also complete some work independently

Job Assets (Experience)

  • Education: High school diploma, GED, or higher
  • 3 years of work experience in a store leadership/management role
  • Cannabis retail management experience is a plus but not required
  • Ability to use standard office equipment, computer software, and a quick understanding

of the State tracking system

Strategic Leadership and Store Management

  • Drive overall store performance, setting and achieving ambitious revenue and

profitability targets

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to grow market share and maximize store

potential

  • Analyze complex data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
  • Make critical decisions on resource allocation, budgets, and cost-cutting measures
  • Collaborate with leadership to align store strategies with company-wide objectives
  • Adapt store operations to changing market conditions and industry regulations

Team Development & Culture

  • Build and lead a high-performing team capable of delivering exceptional results
  • Implement comprehensive training and development programs to nurture talent at all

levels

  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Identify and groom future leaders within the store, supporting their career progression
  • Manage performance through regular evaluations, coaching, and corrective actions as

needed

  • Optimize team structure and roles to maximize efficiency and employee satisfaction

Financial Acumen & Store Performance

  • Own P&L responsibility for the store, ensuring all financial targets are met or exceeded
  • Develop and manage store budgets, including sales forecasting, Inventory, and cost

control

  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) in depth, implementing data-driven strategies

to improve metrics

  • Identify and execute opportunities to increase sales, average transaction value, and

customer retention

  • Design and implement effective pricing and discounting strategies to drive sales while

maintaining profitability

  • Manage labor costs effectively while maintaining optimal staffing levels for customer

service

Operational Excellence & Compliance

  • Ensure flawless execution of all store operations, setting the highest standards for

quality and efficiency

  • Develop, refine, and standardize standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance

store performance and changing operational practices

  • Ensure strict compliance with all cannabis regulations, maintaining impeccable store

records

  • Develop and oversee risk management strategies, including security protocols and

emergency procedures

Inventory Management & Control

  • Implement and maintain a seed-to-sale tracking system, ensuring accurate

documentation of all cannabis products

  • Conduct regular inventory audits, reconciling physical counts with system records to

maintain inventory integrity

  • Oversee proper storage and handling of cannabis products to maintain quality and

prevent diversion

  • Manage product lifecycle, including monitoring expiration dates and implementing

rotation strategies

  • Develop strategies to optimize inventory levels, balancing product availability with cash

flow management

  • Strategically plan and manage inventory levels to support promotional activities and

seasonal demand fluctuations

  • Create and manage vendor partnerships to support the promotional calendar and aged

inventory management.

  • Ensure compliance with state-mandated inventory reporting requirements
  • Collaborate with cultivation and processing teams to forecast demand and plan inventory

accordingly

  • Implement and monitor strict protocols for receiving, storing, and disposing of cannabis

products

Customer Experience & Brand Leadership

  • Create an unparalleled customer experience that differentiates Speakeasy in the market
  • Implement innovative customer service initiatives to drive loyalty and reviews
  • Personally handle high-value customers and complex situations, setting the standard for

customer care

  • Develop and execute targeted promotional campaigns to attract new customers and

increase sales

  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of promotional activities, adjusting strategies as

needed

  • Embody and promote Speakeasy's brand values, ensuring consistent representation

across all touchpoints

  • Drive local marketing efforts, including community engagement and strategic

partnerships
