Responsibilities
- Assist speech pathologist in evaluating and treating patients with communication disorders.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to therapy sessions.
- Support the implementation of individualized treatment plans under the direction of licensed therapists.
- Conduct screenings and assessments as needed to monitor patient progress.
- Collaborate with educational staff to support students with speech and language needs.
- Provide assistance during therapy sessions, including preparing materials and equipment.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to speech pathology.
- Experience working with students or in a school setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and IEP processes is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
