The SPCA Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare is seeking a talented and dedicated individual to join our team as a Fundraising & Outreach Manager. In this role, you will have the opportunity to play a vital role in raising public awareness and financial support for our organization through strategic fundraising initiatives and community outreach.
As the Fundraising & Outreach Manager, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating engaging fundraising events, securing valuable business sponsorships, cultivating strong donor relationships, and promoting our mission through media relations and humane education opportunities. You will be a driving force behind our revenue growth and community engagement, while effectively managing resources and collaborating with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
✨ Manage all aspects of fundraising events, from seeking business sponsors to coordinating volunteers and staff, ensuring successful execution.
✨ Act as the spokesperson for the organization, attending community events and speaking engagements to increase awareness of our mission, programs, and services.
✨ Develop a comprehensive Business Sponsorship Program, actively soliciting memberships from local businesses.
✨ Promote our mission through television, radio, and print media, including pitching stories, regular appearances, interviews, press release preparation, and article writing.
✨ Research and develop additional fundraising opportunities, such as partnerships with businesses and other programs to raise funds for the SPCA.
✨ Collaborate with other departments, ensuring timely coordination and meeting deadlines.
✨ Perform other job-related duties to support fundraising and events.
Qualifications:
✨ A passion for animals and a strong understanding of the SPCA Albrecht Center's mission and vision.
✨ A degree in communications, public relations, or a related field, or at least 3 years of relevant work experience in communications and fundraising.
✨ Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
✨ Strong organizational and time management abilities with a focus on meeting deadlines.
✨ Confident public speaking and presentation skills.
✨ Ability to collaborate effectively with different departments and stakeholders.
✨ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, communication apps (e.g., Slack), online fundraising platforms, and social media platforms. Basic photo and video skills are a plus.
✨ Experience in growing business sponsorship programs and donor programs.
✨ Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
✨ Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
✨ Experience with Petpoint, Little Green Light, and Constant Contact is a plus.
