JOB SUMMARY:
The Technical Specialist provides advanced technical and maintenance support within the
clinical environment while developing competency in Healthcare Technology Management
(HTM) practices, medical equipment, and regulatory requirements. The position leverages strong
electrical, mechanical, electronic, and controls expertise to support clinical equipment and
facility systems while progressing toward broader biomedical equipment responsibilities.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Technical Specialist provides advanced technical and maintenance support within the

(HTM) practices, medical equipment, and regulatory requirements. The position leverages strong
electrical, mechanical, electronic, and controls expertise to support clinical equipment and
facility systems while progressing toward broader biomedical equipment responsibilities.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex electromechanical, electrical,
- electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems within the clinical facility environment.
- Interpret electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints, and technical diagrams to perform
- root-cause analysis and repairs.
- Perform systematic, routine preventative maintenance on high-impact support systems,
- power systems, facility clinical electronics, and general equipment.
- Develop and implement scheduled maintenance checklists to minimize downtime and
- maximize operational availability.
- Provide expert support on specialized motor controls, PLC programming,
- generator/power backup systems, and plumbing/facility-related technical infrastructure
- supporting clinical care.
- Collaborate with clinical staff and vendor representatives to coordinate external specialist
- repairs and parts procurement.
- Document all work orders, preventive maintenance tasks, parts ordering, and equipment
- statuses accurately within the SPBS computerized maintenance management system
- (CMMS) in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Assists senior technicians and engineers with the routine preventative maintenance,
- inspection, and inventory tracking of clinical assets.
- Engages in professional development opportunities to expand subject-matter expertise,
- stay current with medical device regulations, and enhance healthcare technology
- management capabilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support organizational needs, team priorities, and
- changing department demands.
Experience & Educational Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology, Industrial Electronics, or a
- related technical field.Experience in industrial maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, electronic systems,
- PLCs, motor controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics
