What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laborer position at SpawGlass?
As our laborer, you will engage in various tasks that support the project team in meeting daily production needs while holding safety to the highest standard. We'll rely on you to perform construction activities related to site cleanliness and assist other trade team members. To thrive in this role, you should have great organizational skills, a learning mindset, a priority on field safety and the passion to provide our clients with the absolute best construction experience.
What You'll Do
You must be able to twist, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, climb ladders, climb stairs, walk on uneven ground, work above ground on scaffolds, have depth of perception to avoid excavations and other hazards, hear well enough to recognize the sounds of horns and sirens on moving equipment and have good finger manipulation. There is a constant lifting of 10 lbs., frequent lifting of 25 lbs. and maximum single person lifting of 50 lbs. For items over 50 lbs. get assistance from a co worker. Team members must be able to climb on light or heavy equipment, carry and use hand tools. There is standing up to seven hours of an eight-hour shift. Ability to work in outside temperatures from 25 - 115 degrees.

What You'll Do
- Site Preparation and Cleanliness: Efficiently clear and prepare construction sites by removing debris, obstacles, and hazardous materials, maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Material Handling and Support: Safely handle and transport materials and equipment to and from work areas, providing timely support to skilled workers as needed
- Construction Assistance: Assist in various construction tasks such as digging trenches, demolishing structures, and preparing surfaces for concrete, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently
- Safety Awareness and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times, wearing appropriate PPE, and actively contributing to a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues
- General knowledge of commercial construction and/or the drive to learn
- Flexibility in your work schedule

- You have a high-quality approach and will make safety a priority in your daily work routine
