What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Operator position at Spaulding Stone?
Job Summary:
Spaulding Stone is based out of Moorhead, MN. Our company has been fabricating and installing custom stone projects since 2007. Our fabricator's job is a key function in the process of providing a quality finished product for our customers. It is the last part of the process before it goes out the door. The person we are looking for is interested in learning, has a commitment to a team attitude, has great communication skills, & is highly motivated to grow with our company. The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Stone Cutting and Shaping:
- Use hand polisher to polish & shape stone pieces according to specifications and design requirements.
Fabrication and Assembly:
- Assemble and fit stone pieces, ensuring precise alignment and smooth finishes. Perform tasks such as edge profiling, drilling, mitering, and seam joining.
Quality Control:
- Inspect finished products for defects or imperfections. Ensure that all work meets company quality standards and customer specifications.
Tool and Equipment Maintenance:
- Maintain and calibrate fabrication tools and equipment. Report any malfunctions or needed repairs to the supervisor.
Material Handling:
- Safely handle and transport heavy stone materials, using appropriate lifting techniques and equipment.
Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure a clean and organized work environment.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with other fabricators to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Attention to detail
- Ability to push, pull or carry 50 lbs regularly
- Excellent communication skills
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in the stone industry preferred, not required.
Physical Demands/Safety Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time.
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
- Adjusting or moving objects up to 75 lbs in all directions
- Repeating motions that include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Operating machinery and/or power tools.
- Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
- Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
- Working in a noisy environment.
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday 6:00AM – 3:00PM
