SummaryThe Material Handlers primary role is in supporting production efficiency by preparing and delivering raw materials, components, and packaging to and from the Molding and Secondary departments. This position is responsible for ensuring the consistent and timely flow of materials needed for daily operations, with a particular focus on the unique needs of the Molding department. The Material Handler also assists with shipping and receiving tasks, inventory accuracy, and workplace organization. The ideal candidate is highly organized, safety-conscious, and able to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesMaterial Handling & Inventory SupportReceive, inspect, and verify incoming raw materials, resin, inserts, and supplies.Prepare and stage raw materials for the Molding department, including weighing, mixing, labeling, and drying resin as needed to meet production requirements.Monitor daily molding schedules to ensure all machines are stocked with the correct material and components before and during production runs.Track material usage at machines and return unused materials to proper storage areas, ensuring traceability and quality compliance.Assist in reconciling material variances and shortages in collaboration with production managers and inventory control.Conduct regular cycle counts and participate in inventory audits.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the materials staging and storage areas, including resin storage and drying rooms.Shipping & Receiving SupportLoad and unload trucks safely using forklifts or other material handling equipment.Accurately record and label received goods and move them to appropriate inventory locations.Retrieve/accept finished goods from Molding and Secondary staging areas and prepare for final verification, including packing, labeling, palletizing, and completing documentation.Maintain records in ERP and inventory systems to ensure accurate tracking of goods movement.Production Floor CoordinationSupport the Molding and Secondary departments by keeping material flow consistent and uninterrupted.Communicating with Production Managers and Group Leads to understand material priorities and shifting needs.Operate machinery or assist with basic production tasks during high-demand periods (as qualified and needed).QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training preferred.2 years of experience in materials handling, shipping/receiving, or warehouse operations (manufacturing environment preferred).Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.Experience with ERP or inventory management systems; basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office).Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs., bend, reach, and stand for long periods.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.Demonstrated commitment to safety, teamwork, and reliability.Work EnvironmentWork takes place on the production floor and in the warehouse area.Exposure to manufacturing equipment, moving machinery, varying temperatures, and moderate noise levels.Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required in designated areas.Experience with ERP or inventory systems; proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs., bend, reach, and stand for extended periods.Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong commitment to safety protocols and continuous improvement.Job Posted by ApplicantPro
