Jr. Security Specialist Spathe Systems is a rapidly growing SOF led, 8(a) defense contractor headquartered in Tampa, FL with offices in Fayetteville, NC and strategic partner locations in Virginia Beach and Coronado. As a small business with a tight nit family feel, Spathe empowers its employees to solve problems and make decisions. Spathe is currently searching for a Jr. Security Specialist to join our team in the Tampa, FL area. Job Duties: * Handles and safeguards classified or sensitive information in an appropriate manner to preclude unauthorized disclosure or compromise of information and complies with established security policies, directives, and regulations.
* Perform in and out processing of all assigned and attached personnel, which includes the completion of various security forms, verification of each individual's security clearance, issue of restricted area badges and DoD base visit requests, execution of SF 312, Classified Information Non-Disclosure Agreement, and initial security education/indoctrination.
* Have experience with SPOT creating and Submitting LOAs. * Knowledge of processing TESA/SOFA, and CRC requirements.
* Experience with Maintaining/Updating Security Clearances in DISS and Submitting EQIP request when is necessary.
* Comfortable with reporting to executive leadership
* Demonstrated hands-on experience with DISS/SPOT/ACCS.
* Customer service and relationship building skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of an organization
* Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
* Must be detail oriented and possess project management skills
* Desire to work as part of a team or independently and have the drive to complete a variety of tasks and projects with a sense of urgency
* Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
* Will abide by DOD Regulation 5200.2-R, Personnel Security Program and National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). Qualifications:
* 0-3 years' experience as a Security Specialist in a federal contracting environment.
* Ability to work in a fast paced, competitive environment
* Knowledge of military experience a plus and/or experience Security Manager/SSO/AFSO.
* Associates Degree required; BA/BS preferred; Military experience substitutable for education
* Task and deadline driven mentality.
* Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance
* Have completed required Security training in the NISP./ able to complete withing 3 months of employment. Work Location: Tampa, Florida
Travel: * Not Likely, but no more than 10%
