MAINTENANCE TECH I
Under general supervision, assists senior maintenance Technicians in maintaining buildings, grounds, and equipment for company facilities. Operates various heavy maintenance equipment. Performs detailed mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks to Wastewater Treatment Process Equipment. Performs preventative maintenance inspections and repairs. Reports to the Wastewater Maintenance Coordinator.
MAINTENANCE TECH II
Under general supervision, performs skilled maintenance, repair, rebuilding and installation work involving electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems and related structures at all facilities in the organization. Ensures compliance with safety regulations and related codes, laws, and standards. Reports to Wastewater Maintenance Coordinator.
MAINTENANCE TECH III
Under minimal supervision, directs, oversees, and trains level I and II Maintenance Technicians, in performing maintenance and repair duties. Participates in maintenance and repair activities on Wastewater process equipment and related accessories. Ensures compliance with all governing codes and regulations. Ensures proper implementation of maintenance activities. Monitors and accesses information from computer, prepares records, and reports, maintains inventory, and performs related administrative duties. Oversees special projects and major rebuilds by assigning work, acquiring parts, and securing the equipment to needed to complete the work. Reports to the Wastewater Treatment Maintenance Coordinator.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
MAINTENANCE TECH I
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and one to two years of experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must possess a valid driver's license and obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
MAINTENANCE TECH II
High school diploma or equivalent with vocational or technical school training in mechanic shop, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, or related areas; or a minimum of three years of experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must obtain First Aid/CPR Certification. Must be able to perform all job duties at the Technician I level.
MAINTENANCE TECH III
High school diploma or equivalent with vocational or technical school training in industrial mechanical, plumbing, welding, electrical control systems, or related areas; or a minimum of five years of experience in industrial mechanical and/or electrical maintenance; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a South Carolina Backflow Certification and First Aid/CPR Certification. Must be able to perform all job duties at the Technician I and II level.
