Quality Technician

Spartanburg SCHEDL Automotive is currently seeking Quality Technician. This is a full-time direct hire position. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform daily tire and wheel mounting and demounting, ensuring proper assembly techniques and safety protocols are followed (approximately 60% of the job).
• Conduct customer product return analysis with minimal oversight, including physically handling and booking products into the system.
• Physically move acceptable material back into inventory.
• Assist in identifying and resolving production quality issues by containing and sorting parts to meet quality requirements.
• Identify, report, and assist in resolving quality issues or defects, collaborating with production and logistics teams to implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and tests.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, providing insights and recommendations to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Monitor quality, diagnose the root cause of problems, and help implement corrective actions and countermeasures.
• Analyze and interpret production data independently using ERP System.
• Conduct product trials.
• Perform other duties as needed and assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in a quality control or inspection role, preferably in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
• 1 years of forklift experience.
• Familiarity with automotive industry standards and practices is a plus.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems and processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data management and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willingness to work any shift as required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to lift and sort 60-80 lbs.
• Must be able to stand and move continuously during working hours.
