Spartanburg SCHEDL Automotive is currently has 2 openings for Material Handlers (1 for early shift, 1 for late shift). This is a full-time direct hire position. JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Follow work instructions
- Unload tires from trucks manually
- Palletize and/or restack tires
- Label materials with identifying information
- Sort and place materials
- Forklift driving, move tires/wheels from receiving areas to designated areas
- Conduct other tasks and liaison as directed by the supervisor
- Operate forklift in accordance with safety and standard working practices
- Ensure forklift is properly stored, charged, cleaned, and ready to operate
- Inform supervisor of any damages, accidents or incidents
- Responsible for keeping work area clean
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- 1 years Sit-Down Forklift experience
- Stand-up Forklift experience is a plus
- A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
- Ability to read, write and understand the English language
- Must be detail-oriented and pay close attention to accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with continuous interruptions
- Availability to work overtime including weekends
- Ability to work any shift as required
- Teamwork and flexibility
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to manually unload tire trailer
- Must be able to consistently lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to stand and move continuously during working hours
SCHEDULE
Early Shift:
- Monday - Friday, 6AM-2:30PM
- Every other Saturday, 7AM-3:30PM
- Overtime as needed
Late Shift:
- Monday - Friday 2:30PM - 11:00PM (shift differential)
- Every other Saturday 7AM-3:30PM
- Overtime as needed
Job Type: Full-time
