Unit Description
Our Cath Lab is at the forefront of minimally invasive interventional cardiology, where innovation meets patient care. You will be part of a team performing a variety of cutting-edge procedures, including:
- Diagnostic Testing: Identifying heart conditions such as blockages.
- Interventional Procedures: Atherectomy, coronary angioplasty, chronic total occlusion treatment, and more.
Cath Lab Facts
- On-Call Requirements: One night a week (Monday – Thursday) and every 6th weekend, with a 30-minute response time.
- Collaborative Environment: Nurses scrub, chart, and circulate; techs scrub and chart.
- High-Tech Gear: You will be required to wear lead during procedures, ensuring you are equipped with the best tools for the job.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Licensure/Certifications: Current RN licensure in South Carolina, BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC.
- Experience: At least two (2) years of RN experience.
- Education: BSN.
- Experience: Background in Cath Lab, cardiac, telemetry, critical care, operating room, interventional radiology, ER, or med/surg.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to determine patient care priorities.
- Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration for enhanced patient outcomes.
- Provide clinical guidance to students and ancillary staff.
- Participate in hourly rounding and bedside shift reports.
- Ensure compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.
- Engage in continuous professional development and serve on unit-based committees.
- Prioritize nursing interventions based on patient assessments and needs.
