Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our well-established, Interventional Radiology Clinic in Upstate South Carolina. New grads will be considered, but 2-3 years of Nurse Practitioner experience is preferred.
Position Highlights
- Monday- Friday; dayshift position on-site
- No nights, no call, no weekends
- Outpatient new patient visits for patients referred for IR consult
- Inpatient rounds (low daily census volume) β includes follow up post-procedure inpatients and occasionally new consults
- Review surgical patient charts and document pre-procedure evaluation/H&P
- Review EKGs, labs, cardiac and pulmonary history to determine if patient is appropriate for surgery or if additional intervention is needed
- Review prior anesthetic history for previous anesthetic complications
- Review home medications and follow approved protocols for pre-surgery medication administration instructions
- Potential for opportunity to perform basic IR procedures (i.e. paracentesis, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture)
- Peer-to-peer reviews with insurance companies that require peer-to-peer review before procedure can be authorized/scheduled
