Position Summary
Distribution Coordinator oversees all aspects of day to day activities of receiving, storage, distribution of materials, supplies, mail and linen products. He/she is responsible for the coordination of all levels of Receiving, Warehousing, Distribution, Mail and Surplus Asset Management activities of the department and hospital. The Distribution Coordinator will also supervise, evaluate and develop personnel.

The Distribution Coordinator will also supervise, evaluate and develop personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Two (2) years' experience in hospital Materials Management or inventory experience.
- Working knowledge of hospital PAR locations.
- Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and leadership abilities.
- Previous supervisory experience required.
- Driver's License
- Ensure the efficient and effective receipt and distribution of all inbound deliveries of materials, supplies, mail, and linen to the Spartanburg Regional - Mary Black Campus.
- Maintain bulk materials warehouse and linen inventory to ensure accuracy of on-hand inventory levels.
- Assist with regular inventory cycle counts and adjustments.
- Coordinate the delivery of all inbound materials, supplies, equipment, mail, and linen products throughout the hospital.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with hospital departments, vendors, contractors.
- Coordinate on-site installation and maintenance of Supply Scan software systems within one or all designated par locations.
- Provide on-going education for hospital employees regarding Supply Scan issues and applications.
- Provide on-going troubleshooting for users and communicate with appropriate vendors to ensure optimal system performance.
- Must perform necessary analytical skills to determine the proper amount of stock kept in Supply Rooms to allow us to provide the highest quality of healthcare available while controlling amount of money invested in inventory.
- Participate in internal and external committees to foster improved distribution methods.
- Prepare and distribute routine and custom reports as required.
