Duties/Responsibilities:
Plans repair work using building blueprints or equipment manuals as needed. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures. Performs routine maintenance on building systems. Cleans and assists with maintaining the facilities.
Requirements, Certificates & Licenses:
Minimum 5 years of related experience preferred with general carpentry and repair.
Ability to use hand and power tools.
Must be able to climb ladders of all heights and operate mechanical lifts
Ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
Must have a current driver’s license.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Be available to respond to emergencies at night and on weekends to resolve immediate safety concerns.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Other Functions:
Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Working Environment:
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 10% sitting, 45% walking, and 45% standing. The job is performed under temperature extremes and in a generally hazard-free environment.
Contract Days:
240 Days Full-time position
Salary to be determined by documented experience and documented skill and training level.
