We’re seeking a high-performing Lead Setter to join and guide our growing team of appointment setters in the solar industry. As the Lead Setter, you’ll be responsible not only for generating qualified appointments through door-to-door outreach, but also for mentoring new setters, setting performance standards, and creating a winning culture. This is a leadership role designed for individuals who are confident, disciplined, and hungry for growth—both personally and professionally.
Earning Potential: $3,000–$8,000/month (Lead Setters) | $10,000–$15,000 /month (Top Lead Setters)
We work in multiple parts of Maryland
Responsibilities
- Generate leads through residential door-to-door engagement in assigned territories
- Pre-qualify homeowners for solar based on electric usage, homeownership, and other company criteria
- Track and report personal and team performance metrics
- Lead by example with a strong work ethic, grit, and professionalism
- Coach and support setters during ride-alongs, pitch reviews, and 1-on-1s
- Assist with onboarding and field training for new setters
- Collaborate with closers and leadership to ensure smooth handoffs and high closing ratios
- Uphold and enforce company standards for customer interaction and ethical conduct
Qualifications
- No experience needed
- Leadership, communication, and motivational skills
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of self-discipline and emotional resilience
- Must be comfortable working outdoors and on your feet for extended periods
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
- Must have reliable transportation
- No college degree required—performance and character matter most
What success looks like
- Averaging 2–4 qualified solar appointments per day, consistently
- Training and mentoring new team members until they’re independently producing
- Maintaining high morale and performance among setters through hands-on leadership
- Meeting team goals and driving territory growth
- Demonstrating integrity, resilience, and drive daily, regardless of weather or external factors
This role is a stepping stone into leadership, with opportunities for promotion into Sales Closer, Territory Manager, or Director roles.
