SALT Supervisor

Details:
- Manage and deliver profitable state and local tax (SALT) engagements — with an emphasis on sales and use tax consulting, audit controversy, and compliance.
- Provide timely, high-quality advice on audit controversy projects, sales and use tax nexus reviews, transactional planning, taxability studies, voluntary disclosure agreements, refund opportunities, and multi-state tax
- Supervise, mentor, and develop staff in sales and use tax topics.
- Review workpapers, tax returns, and tax provisions related to sales and use tax.
- Develop specialized multi-state sales and use tax knowledge within industries such as Manufacturing, Retail, Construction, Wholesale and Distribution, and Information Technology.
- 5–6 years of public accounting tax experience, including at least 3-4 years focused on sales and use tax
- CPA preferred but not required.
- Prior experience working with or at a state Department of Revenue is preferred but not required (audit, compliance, or policy roles).
