Monitors process systems and maintains and upgrades process monitoring equipment. Demonstrates Spartan’s core operating values and code of conduct through actions and behaviors.
Job Duties
Required: High School/GED and 2 years related experience
Preferred: Degree and/or Certificate in related area

JOB TITLE: AutomationTechnician
LOCATION: Mexico, MO
SHIFT: 3rd
General Summary
Monitors process systems and maintains and upgrades process monitoring equipment. Demonstrates Spartan’s core operating values and code of conduct through actions and behaviors.
Job Duties
- Keeps monitoring equipment and process limits updated.
- Repairs monitoring and electrical equipment.
- Performs the programming of PLCs for die cast and machining and assembly equipment.
- Performs the Programming of robots and camera equipment and troubleshoots issues.
- Sets-up training on upgrades and new equipment.
- Answers general questions from production personnel about these systems.
- Provides analysis reports to track machine and process performance.
- Researches and gathers quotes for systems improvements.
- Maintains stock of repair items.
- Contributes to and supports the existence of a positive work environment through personal involvement by communicating, interacting and behaving in a manner that promotes productive relationships with coworkers, supervisors, customers, and others with whom such relationships are important to the success of company operations.
