The Transmission Project Manager—Transmission is responsible for overall management of overhead electrical projects ranging from 35kV to 765kV with contracting models ranging from construct only to full Engineer, Procure, & Construct (EPC).

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

·         Review& interpret project documents including Power Purchase Agreements, Generator Interconnection Agreements, Utility Interconnection requirements, Contract requirements, System Impact Studies, Facility Studies, and Customer/Owner Engineer requirements to ensure Project compliance 

·         Review, plan, and lead completion of LNTP/Early Stage Deliverables  

·         Create and manage project budget 

·         Develop, negotiate, execute, and manage subcontractor & vendor scopes of work and lead subcontracting & procurement efforts when applicable

·         Manage transmission subcontractors (billings, RFIs, status reports, risk, etc.) 

·         Transmission scope change management 

·         Organize & lead Project Kick-Off Meeting 

·         Oversee the Management & Collection and closing of RFI’s  

·         Lead point of contact in Utility Coordination Meetings  

·         Lead point of contact in Owner Coordination Meetings 

·         Lead point of contact in SE Team Meetings

·         Oversee and assure that project procurement meets deadlines for schedule compliance

·         Lead Construction Schedule & Scope Review Meeting 

·         Lead Kick-off Meeting (On-Site)  

·         Lead project progress to achieve or beat contractual milestones and obligations

·         Manage Final Completion Punchlist  

·         Lead team meetings/calls on a regular basis 

·         Oversee subcontracted engineering team for project design deliverables & inputs for material procurement and timely mobilization

·         Demonstrate and maintain a safe work environment

·         Maintain flexibility in availability due to extended work schedules of crews in the field

·         Project need based travel (local and inter-state) required 

·         Complete other responsibilities as assigned 

 

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:

·         Minimum 5 years of experience in transmission construction (35kV to 765kV) systems 

·         Proven ability to lead transmission projects through full lifecycle—from kickoff to energization and ROW closeout. 

·         Familiarity with transmission components:

·         Strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage client, utility, and subcontractor interfaces 

·         Ability to identify, prioritize, and resolve project challenges with limited supervision 

·         Working knowledge of utility operations, switching procedures, relay testing, and energization protocols 

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Bluebeam, & P6 scheduling experience preferred 

·         Experience with PDF markup tools, and field documentation platforms is a plus

Salary : $110,837 - $138,547
