Basic Requirements:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as permanent resident, refugee or asylee
- 3 years of upstream HSE experience
- 3 years of experience with HSE Management Systems
- Intermediate knowledge in the use of Microsoft products including Word, Excel & Power Point
- Willing and able to perform/align with following (with or without reasonable accommodation):
- Work in temperature extremes or adverse weather conditions
- Work in several different geographic locations every single day
- Wear appropriate special safety equipment
- Climb heights up to 24 feet
- Walk, bend, stoop, lift, push, and pull
- Work weekends and be on call
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Safety, Environmental Sciences, related field or foreign equivalent
- ASP, CSP, CIH or other certifications
- Ability to network and gain cooperation from members of other workgroups
- Listens actively and invites new ideas for exchanged opinions, then influences and acts to drive positive performance and achieve results
- Builds positive relationships based on trust and seeks collaboration across organizational boundaries
Key Accountabilities
- Provide safety leadership to management and employees to include OSHA standards and compliance strategies, DOT Compliance Requirements and Client's policies and standards.
- Performs tasks in a wide range of environmental, health and safety disciplines to achieve compliance with the organization's EH&S standards and with federal and state regulatory requirements.
- Assists in the development, implementation and maintenance of programs, systems and procedures necessary to ensure the overall safety and health of employees and the community.
- Assists in monitoring and preventing chemical, physical and biological hazards and diseases that could be present in the work area.
- Works with others to investigate accidents, injuries, and complaints concerning hazards or uncomfortable conditions in the work place.
- Participates in recommending improvements in processes, design, procedures, and operating equipment, to minimize the hazardous potential.
- Ensures HSE excellence through training, involvement in behavior based programs, auditing of management and safety systems, rig inspections, gathering and trending leading and trailing indicators, and participation in the incident investigation & reporting processes.
- Be a functional expert in most health, safety, and environmental disciplines.
- Provides guidance, regulatory interpretation, and assists with procedure development for a variety of HSE issues.
Required and Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experienced level, typically 5-7 years of experience.
- Requires a strong understanding of discipline.
- Able to apply knowledge and experience to complex problems and develop recommendations.
- Makes decisions within broad parameters.
- Acts as an informal resource for others with less experience.
Schedule: 14/14 rotational. Travel to work on Wednesday and first day on hitch is Thursday. Travel out on the last day of hitch Wednesday.
Travel Expenses: CWs will be eligible for a one-time travel charge of $935 per hitch, with mileage reimbursement for up to 500 miles inbound and 500 miles outbound. Alternatively, CWs may elect to be reimbursed for airfare expenses up to $1,500 per hitch, provided applicable documentation is submitted.
Pay: $32.00 - $34.00 per hour
