Civil Site Design Engineer (Stormwater & Utilities)Location: Medina, OHCompensation: $110,000 – $150,000 base full benefitsAbout the FirmWell-established engineering and surveying practice with 40 years serving Northeast Ohio.Small, collaborative team of roughly a dozen professionals.Portfolio spans commercial sites (convenience stores, truck stops) plus municipal and residential infrastructure.Your ImpactOwn civil site design deliverables: site layouts, grading, utilities, and stormwater management that comply with local, state, and federal standards.Translate field data into high-quality plans by coordinating with survey crews; review boundary and topographic surveys to guide engineering decisions.Build precise drawing sets in AutoCAD; Civil 3D proficiency strongly preferred.Lead permitting tasks—prepare submittals, address agency review comments, and iterate designs to approval.Represent projects at planning and zoning meetings (about once per month).Partner with architects, contractors, and owners; conduct site visits and help resolve design and construction challenges.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.5 years of relevant site development experience.Strong command of stormwater, erosion control, and civil site design principles.Proficiency with AutoCAD; Civil 3D strongly preferred.Track record of juggling multiple deadlines with attention to detail.Clean driving record; available on-site five days per week.Compensation & BenefitsSalary range: $110,000 – $150,000, based on experience.100% employer-paid health insurance.3% retirement contribution (regardless of match).Bonus eligibility.Equity/ownership potential aligned with succession planning.Career PathThis is a newly created role with clear visibility and leadership runway.
