Oil Field Safety Technician

Position Overview

Hiring For Williston, North Dakota AND Odessa, Texas

Successful Candidate will be responsible for rigups/rigdowns or our proprietary alert systems and gas detection equipment. Candidate will also be maintaining current business relationships with Oilfield Clients. Position will include hands on delivery, setup and instruction of our proprietary Alert System, Gas detection equipment and or Supplied air packs, rescue packs and Air trailer equipment.

Primary Job Functions

• Communication with oilfield clients to determine exact safety needs for Alert system, Gas detection and Air needs. Remaining on locations throughout the Bakken or Permian Basins for long periods of time may be required.
• Hands on execution of delivery, setup, instruction and maintenance of our products and possibly developing and overseeing additional team members to accomplish these tasks as the company grows.
• Optimize communication between clients, management, and team members to facilitate utilization of our products in the field
• Protect company value by keeping information confidential
• Use of a variety of software products to program our Alert Systems and equipment. Use of Microsoft Office and similar products to ensure business functions such as Billing and reporting flow seamlessly
• Communication with clients regarding operational and logistical issues, changing processes and work updates.
• Communication with clients and employees effectively to ensure we meet client needs in a timely fashion
• Practice safety on a daily basis and continually train in safety standards while disseminating these standards and expectations to subordinates

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of verifiable oilfield experience. Oilfield air and gas work, service, hotshot work, Rig work, Safety work etc.
• Current Driver's License and acceptable driving record-No major violations such as DUI, wreckless driving, etc.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test as well as random tests during employment duration
• Must be willing to travel extensively in the Bakken or Permian area daily and work varied schedule without specific restrictions
• Proficient use of computer, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Verifiable reliable work history and willing to work up to 14 hours per day if necessary.
• Must be able to pass all safety training classes required by clients such as, but not limited to, OBOW, H2S Clear, PEC, OSHA 10 etc.

Skills

• Effective communication both verbal and written
• Gas detection and Air service experience will be highly valued when evaluating candidates
• Effective "Active" Listening. Listen to hear and understand, don't listen to form a response
• Safety first mentality with good judgment and decision making in a timely fashion
• Ability to meet clients and employees and converse with them on a personal yet professional level in order to effectively build and maintain relationships
• Ability to drive safely in dynamic road conditions

Location

Based in Williston, North Dakota Normal work will be performed within an approximate 150 mile radius of Williston North Dakota or Odessa Texas.

Physical Requirements

• Clean Shaven everyday as per client requirements
• Ability to Lift up to 50 pounds chest high several times per day
• Must have ability to climb ladders and/or stairs
• Must be able to utilize all required PPE, such as but not limited to Hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, FRC etc.
• Ability to respond quickly to sounds
• Ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
• Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or confined spaces
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
