Sparta Area School District is seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and passionate leader to serve as our Head Varsity Football Coach, beginning Fall 2027!
We are looking for an individual who will lead and oversee all aspects of our football program while developing student-athletes through leadership, teamwork, discipline, accountability, sportsmanship, and integrity.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Head Varsity Football Coach will provide leadership, direction, and vision for the football program. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to athletic excellence, student development, collaboration, and the values that make a positive impact on our student-athletes and school community.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous high school football coaching experience or higher preferred.
- Collegiate-level or higher playing experience preferred.
- Teaching certification or relevant teaching experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, motivational, and interpersonal skills.
- Coaching certification or willingness to obtain required certifications.
- In-depth knowledge of high school football rules and regulations.
- High degree of honesty, integrity, and character.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Starting Date: Fall 2027
Salary: Per Schedule B of the Master Contract
