What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Custodian position at Sparta Area School District?
Duties of the Position:
- Direct report for am/pm staff, as well as community
- Perform floor, wall and ceiling care operations efficiently.
- Empty and dispose of waste and refuse properly.
- Setup furniture, equipment and materials for school activities and functions.
- Light maintenance may be required. Knowledge of building automation systems.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Director of Buildings and Grounds and/or building Principal
Special Skills Required:
- High School diploma, or equivalent, required.
- Valid driver’s license, required.
8 hrs/daily: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm. Year round position.
Mondays and Wednesdays 5:00 am for food truck.
5:00 am start on snow days for snow route.

Pay: From $24.26 per hour
Expected hours: 8.0 per week
