We are seeking a reliable, detail‑oriented Night Auditor to oversee the hotel during the overnight shift from 11 pm to 7 am. This role is a mix of guest service and auditing/verification of reservation confirmations or cancellations, ensuring a smooth, quiet, and safe overnight experience for our guests.
Schedule and Overview
- Shift: Overnight, 11:00 pm – 7:00 am
- Position: Front desk / guest service and night audit
- Reports to: Hotel General Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Provide warm, professional guest service at the front desk throughout the night.
- Answer and respond to guest emails, including reservation questions, special requests, and general inquiries.
- Verify that payments for hotel reservations are processed correctly, including checking authorizations, charges, and resolving declines.
- Answer incoming phone calls, assist with guest inquiries, and route calls as needed.
- Act as the primary overnight contact for in‑house guests with questions, concerns, or issues.
- Monitor the status of guest stays (arrivals, in‑house, departures) and ensure reservations are accurate.
- Document and report any guest issues, maintenance concerns, incidents, or unusual activity to the management team via email and internal notes.
- Complete end‑of‑day procedures as assigned (basic night audit tasks, reports, checklists).
- Maintain a calm, secure, and quiet environment in the lobby and public areas during the night.
- Follow all safety, security, and emergency procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel front desk, customer service, experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both written (email) and verbal (phone and in‑person).
- Comfortable using computers, email, and basic hotel or reservation systems (training provided).
- High attention to detail when handling payments, guest information, and reports.
- Ability to work independently and stay alert and organized throughout an overnight shift.
- Professional, calm, and courteous demeanor, especially when handling guest concerns.
Work Environment
- Overnight, primarily stationary at the front desk with periodic walks of the property as needed.
- Quiet, guest‑focused environment with an emphasis on safety, security, and service.

The 20 rooms feature exposed beam ceilings, concrete floors with inlaid pebbles, bespoke furnishings, plush pillow-top mattresses with luxurious Italian linens, Grown Alchemist bath amenities and unique artwork. Our bathrooms feature rain showers, and many include horse troughs as bathtubs. Most rooms have private patios. All rooms have AC/Heat and ceiling fans. With no televisions or phones in the rooms, there is an environment of ease and simplicity.
