Sparrow Company is currently seeking a Certified Payroll Specialist for one of our valued clients in the Summerlin, Nevada area.
Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Certified Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations and ensure compliance with prevailing wage requirements, certified payroll regulations, and applicable labor compliance programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Process certified payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
- Track time for prevailing wage hourly employees.
- Follow up with supervisors regarding timekeeping approvals.
- Generate weekly certified payroll reports and submit them to the appropriate agencies.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information in PayTrax.
- Interpret complex contract documents, delivery methods, and agreements related to construction.
- Analyze certified payroll, prevailing wage, and apprenticeship documentation to ensure compliance with applicable laws and labor compliance programs.
- Interact with employees, supervisors, management, and other stakeholders at all levels while maintaining positive and respectful relationships.
- Review and organize information, materials, and documentation independently and efficiently.
- Identify deficiencies and request additional information when needed.
- Take appropriate action to resolve issues and maintain compliance.
- Support the Prevailing Wage Payroll Manager with various tasks and special projects as needed.
