Job Description

Join our team at one of North Carolina’s most beloved fairs! We’re looking for friendly, energetic Food Stand Attendants to help make our pork rind stand a standout at the North Carolina State Fair, running from October 15- October 25, 2026 .

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and serve fair-goers with a smile—take orders and handle cash or card payments
• Cook and prepare pork rinds, cracklings, and sweet tea following all food safety guidelines
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked stand throughout fair hours
• Engage with customers by answering questions, making recommendations, and upselling when appropriate
• Collaborate with the team to manage peak times smoothly
• Assist with opening and closing tasks, including setup, tear down, cleanup, and restocking

Fair & Shift Schedule

• Fair dates: October 15- October 25, 2026
• Hours (Weekends ): 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM
• Hours (Weekdays): 12:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Many positions available with flexible shifts to accommodate different schedules

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license and Social Security card required—background check may also be needed
• Friendly, professional demeanor and strong communication skills
• Ability to work long hours, stand for extended periods, and manage busy periods with a team
• Prior food service experience preferred, but not required
• Food safety training/certification is a plus
