Job Summary

In this role, you will utilize your security, military, law enforcement, or related experience to protect people, property, and assets while providing exceptional customer service and professional presence. Your proactive approach, sound judgment, and commitment to excellence will play a critical role in maintaining safety and security across a variety of assignments. Entry level positions available with no experience necessary, we will train you to perform the job properly.

This position offers opportunities for advancement into specialized assignments, leadership positions, executive protection details, event security operations, firearms instruction, and our Elite Guard Program.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Respond professionally and effectively to incidents, disturbances, emergencies, and security concerns.
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols to deter theft, vandalism, trespassing, and unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
• Prepare detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and security documentation.
• Monitor surveillance systems and CCTV equipment to identify security threats and suspicious activity.
• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional security presence.
• Assist with emergency response procedures, evacuations, and crisis management.
• Administer First Aid and CPR, when necessary, until emergency responders arrive.
• Coordinate with law enforcement, fire departments, EMS personnel, and client representatives.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, client expectations, and post orders.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must reside in Colorado or be willing to relocate upon acceptance of employment.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must pass all required background checks.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• Must demonstrate strong communication, de-escalation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under stressful situations.

Equipment Requirements

Immediately Required for Training:

• Duty firearm (9mm, .40 caliber, or .45 caliber)
• Three (3) magazines with magazine pouch
• Level II retention holster or higher
• Duty belt

Upon Completion of Training, Candidates Must Obtain:

• Flashlight
• OC Spray (foam or gel)
• Two (2) pairs of handcuffs

Optional Equipment:

• Expandable baton (26" or less in length)
• Black ballistic vest, Level IIIA or higher

Equipment is available for purchase through Sparky's Consulting & Tactics. Financing and payroll deduction options may be available for qualified employees.

Licensing Requirements

Upon successful completion of training, candidates must obtain:

• Denver Security Guard License
• Armed Security Endorsement

Current holders of a valid Guard Card and Armed Endorsement and Guard Card holders whose card expired within the previous sixty (60) days are encouraged to apply.

• Use of Force Continuum Knowledge

Elite Guard Program

Elite-level positions are available for qualified candidates with verifiable military service, law enforcement experience, combat deployments, executive protection experience, or advanced security backgrounds.
