Senior Robotics Engineer (Mechanical & Systems) Responsibilities
- Design and fabricate mechanical systems for advanced robotics applications.
- Develop and integrate electronics, motors, and power systems.
- Conduct testing, validation, and quality assurance.
- Create and refine CAD models (Onshape preferred).
- Contribute to embedded programming efforts (Arduino/C, Raspberry Pi/Python).
- Utilize 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC, and traditional shop tools.
- Collaborate directly with technical leadership to meet development milestones.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field.
- 5 years of experience in robotics system design.
- Strong background in mechanical design and fabrication.
- Working knowledge of electronics and circuit design.
- Comfortable operating in a shop/lab environment with strong safety practices.
- Clear and effective technical communication skills.
- Experience with remote or underwater robotics systems.
- Simulation tools (FEA/CFD, MATLAB, Simulink, etc.).
- CAM software experience (Fusion 360 or similar).
- Oil & gas industry exposure preferred.
- Product certification experience.
