Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and replace tires on a variety of vehicles, including passenger cars and light trucks
- Perform wheel alignments to improve vehicle handling and tire longevity
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, fluid replacements, and basic mechanical repairs
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete service tasks
- Diagnose automotive issues using standard diagnostic procedures and tools
- Assist customers by explaining services performed and recommending additional maintenance or repairs
- Lift heavy tires and equipment safely during service procedures while adhering to safety protocols
Requirements
- Prior dealership or automotive shop experience is highly preferred
- Mechanical experience with vehicles, including minor mechanical repairs and diagnostics
- Familiarity with standard passenger car operation and automotive fluid replacement procedures
- Knowledge of automotive tools, hand tools, power tools, and alignment equipment
- Ability to perform tire service, oil changes, and basic vehicle maintenance confidently
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and work in physically demanding conditions
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is often required
