Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement engaging, hands-on lessons tailored to diverse learning styles that focuses on group and peer-focused learning and inquiry or project-based learning.
- Foster an environment of independence, collaboration, and curiosity.
- Guide students through self-directed learning while providing individualized support, acknowledging, incorporating, and expanding Montessori-based tools and principles into the modern classroom.
- Work with enrichment staff to integrate STEM, arts, and project-based learning into the curriculum.
- Assess student progress using formative and summative assessments.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, classroom co- and assistant-teachers, and the school community.
- Maintain an organized, inspiring classroom environment.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the school’s growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in elementary education (Montessori experience is a plus but not required).
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Passion for hands-on, experiential learning.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
