What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP/Director Energy Clearing - Institutional Sales (Futures & OTC) position at SPARK TALENT HQ?
Our client is expanding its U.S. energy clearing footprint and is hiring across multiple levels within its Energy Clearing Sales team. This role focuses on originating, onboarding, and growing institutional energy clients for clearing and DMA access. Candidates may sit in New York, NY or Houston, TX.
We are open to both experienced energy clearing sales professionals and Relationship Managers who are ready to transition into a commercial, revenue-generating role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Originate and onboard institutional energy-focused clearing clients with DMA and/or voice execution needs.
Expand revenue through existing relationships and new client acquisition.
Partner with internal teams (operations, risk, analytics, research, technology) to support client activity.
Collaborate on structured hedging and clearing solutions across energy products.
Provide ongoing relationship coverage and client support throughout onboarding and execution.
Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements (SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC, exchanges).
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Experience in energy markets (clearing, FCM, or Futures).
Strong institutional relationship-building skills.
Commercial mindset with interest in driving client flow and revenue.
Familiarity with DMA access, clearing workflows, and client onboarding.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Previous RM or coverage experience is acceptable if motivated to move into sales.
