We are looking for a friendly and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist for our physical and occupational therapy clinic. Our practice serves a unique population made up of individuals with neurologic diagnoses and aging adults. We are a busy, growing practice and looking for someone who can help keep our office organized.
In this role, you will greet patients, gather their personal and insurance information, verify their benefits, and take their payments and co-pays. During the process, you will ensure the patient feels at ease and that you answer any questions they may have about the facility or scheduling options. We expect our Medical Receptionist to maintain a professional demeanor at all times and ensure patient information is confidential.
Our ideal candidate will be highly organized and able to use our existing tracking systems to make the patient experience as smooth as possible.
Patient Care Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet patients
- Gather personal information and input into the electronic medical record
- Obtain insurance information and verify coverage
- Schedule appointments
- Ensure efficient scheduling to maintain therapist productivity
- Maintain patient confidentiality
Medical Receptionist Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- 1 years of healthcare front office, intake, or billing experience (preferred)
- Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines
- Basic computer literacy with Microsoft Windows
- Proficiency with Gmail and Google Suite
- Proficiency with web-based applications and ability to navigate multiple browser tabs
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Hours
- Monday - Friday 7:45 am - 4:30 pm
This is a full-time position. Full time benefits include: health, dental, retirement, paid vacation.
Pay range
- $20-23/hour DOE
