ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with CSI’s/Spark policies, procedures, guidelines, contractual commitments, and regulations.

• Providing compassionate care for children aged 0-21, including assisting with daily living activities and helping with transportation needs (bathing, dressing, toileting feeding, and mobility, including transfers and positioning.)
• Overseeing the work of other CNA's, delegating tasks, providing guidance, and offering support.
• Assisting with the orientation and training of new CNAs and providing ongoing support and mentorship.
• Observing and documenting children's behaviors, mood, and any health concerns, reporting information to nurses or other relevant staff.
• Collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Engaging children in educational and developmental activities, making a significant contribution to their growth and potential.
• Delivering excellent customer service to both the children and their families, ensuring a positive and supportive environment.
  
  

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Level of education and/or experience to successfully accomplish the essential duties of the position.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of CNA program.
• One (1) year of professional experience in the care of infants and toddlers. Note: You will have to provide employment references documenting skill in the care of infants or children.
  
  

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Current Florida CNA license is required.
• BLS Certification is required.
  
  

Other Skills And Abilities

• Knowledge of home healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff and stakeholders.
• Knowledgeable about the developmental stages of children and tailor their care accordingly.
• Robust interpersonal and communication skills. Patient, compassionate, and empathetic.
• Passion for working with children and families.
• Ability to effectively perform in a fast-paced work environment, with moderate noise, while maintaining attention to detail and adhering to safety protocols.
  
  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands of the position may include standing, walking, lifting, and carrying objects, and performing various patient care activities.

POSITION SUMMARY: Spark Pediatrics is excited to announce an immediate opening for a Pediatric CNA Lead in our Medical Daycare, a prominent provider of Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) in Florida. This non-traditional role blends aspects of medical care, childcare, and teaching, making it a uniquely rewarding opportunity for individuals passionate about pediatric care.

We cater to children ages 0-21 who require a nursing intervention due to physical needs. Currently, our hours of operation are 6 AM - 6 PM, Monday - Friday, with potential Saturday openings as need arises. Join our team and make a difference today!

Work Location: In Person

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This role is based in a dynamic, fast-paced medical daycare setting that can be quite busy and at times chaotic. The nature of the environment requires an individual who can maintain calmness and professionalism under pressure. Moderate noise levels are to be expected due to active care and engagement with children. It's important that the successful candidate can effectively adapt to these conditions while continuously providing high-quality care to our patients.
