Job Title: Hip-Hop Dance Instructor

Position Type: Part-Time (Fall & Spring 2026-2027 Season)

We offer a range of classes, including Musical Theater, Hip-Hop, Hula, ‘Ori Tahiti, Jazz, Tap, and more.
Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Hip-Hop Dance Instructor to join our team for the upcoming summer and fall 2026-2027 season. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching students aged 3 through their teenage years, from beginning to intermediate levels. You will be responsible for creating a supportive and engaging learning environment that encourages students to discover their love for dance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate hip-hop dance curricula for students aged 3 to teens.
- Teach beginning to intermediate level hip-hop classes, ensuring that each student receives personalized attention and guidance.
- Choreograph routines for recitals and performances, selecting music that resonates with the students and aligns with studio standards.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages creativity, resilience, and personal growth.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to provide updates on student progress and upcoming events.
- Stay current with hip-hop dance trends and techniques to provide the highest quality instruction.
Qualifications:
- Formal dance training or certification in hip-hop or related disciplines is preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience teaching hip-hop dance to children and teenagers.
- Strong choreography skills with the ability to create engaging and age-appropriate routines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students of all ages.
- A positive and energetic demeanor that aligns with the studio's mission and values.
- Ability to commit to the summer and fall 2025-2026 teaching schedule.
Compensation: Starting at $35 per hour, commensurate with experience.
