Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing amenities to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational facilities by sweeping, mopping, disinfecting surfaces, and handling waste disposal.
• Handle cleaning equipment and chemical agents safely and efficiently, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines to prevent accidents or chemical mishandling.
• Conduct routine inspections for sanitation standards, ensuring compliance with hotel policies and health regulations.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or supplies while following manual handling safety procedures.
• Support hotel emergency procedures by responding promptly to incidents or safety concerns with professionalism and care.
• Keep detailed records of cleaning activities, maintenance requests, and safety checks to support hotel housekeeping management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial work with a strong understanding of industrial cleaning techniques.
• Knowledge of floor care methods including floor cleaning, stripping, waxing, and carpet maintenance.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, steam cleaners, and other janitorial tools.
• Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly while following safety protocols and understanding safety data sheets (SDS).
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting tasks and manual handling required during cleaning routines.
• Previous experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and sanitation standards essential for maintaining a safe environment.
